Arizona Opportunity Zone


Arizona’s Opportunity Zone nominations were submitted on March 21, 2018 and approved by the U.S. Treasury Department on April 9, 2018, making Arizona one of the first states in the nation to have its zones officially designated.

Prescott Valley's General Plan

Every 10 to 20 years, towns, cities, and counties throughout Arizona and the Southwest revisit their general plans to ensure that an up-to-date connection exists between residents’ values, visions, and objectives; State law; and the physical development of their community. In 2011, the Town of Prescott Valley initiated an update process for the Prescott Valley General Plan 2025 – A Community Blueprint for the Future.


The Community Development Department consists of the Building/Safety, Planning and Development, and Neighborhood Services/Code Enforcement divisions

Business License

The purpose of the Prescott Valley Business License and Business License Fee is primarily to regulate and fund regulation of the quality of business activity which occurs or is transacted within the town limits

Development Fees

Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) §9-463.05 provides a framework for cities and towns to assess, collect and administer development fees
