Q. What is the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation?

PVEDF is an investor funded, not-for-profit foundation governed by an 11 member Board of Directors that is responsible for the creation of jobs, new businesses, and additional sales tax by assisting companies to expand or relocated to Prescott Valley and the surrounding area.  We represent the area’s public and private sectors which creates a unique partnership that allows PVEDF to provide our clients with all the resources needed to evaluate this area, as well as plan and execute an expansion or move.

Q.How are we funded?

As an independent 501(c)(4), not-for-profit corporation, we are a public-private partnership with funding from the City of Prescott Valley and funding from private sector investors. We offer several levels of investment through membership into the Foundation.

Q. How does PVEDF differ from the Chamber of Commerce?

The primary purpose of PVEDF is economic development and job creation; it works in conjunction with the Town of Prescott Valley, the Chamber of Commerce, Yavapai County and state agencies, though we are a totally separate private organization.

Q. What types of companies does the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation bring to Prescott Valley?

Our current focus is on Aerospace, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution, Medical and Education. We are also always looking for other opportunities and industries that fit well in our community.

Q. What is PVEDF’s relationship with the Arizona commerce Authority (ACA) and Arizona Pubic Service Company (APS)?

PVEDF works in cooperation with ACA and APS to recruit new companies, and with existing employers to ensure business retention.

Q. What are the industries and businesses that PVEDF targets?

PVEDF works with companies in all industries.  The industries that best fit our location and economic advantages include manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, aftermarket automotive, aerospace and aviation, medical and education.
